Welcome to Okeroinen Stables!
We are located 7km from Lahti city and 6km from Messilä Ski Center. Local buses 8 and 21 bring you within a walking distance from our stables, and the Lahti-Helsinki motorway exit is just a 5min drive away.
Okeroinen stable is the only riding school in the region of Päijät-Häme with the quality certificate granted by the Equestrian Federation of Finland.
Our riding lessons are designed to be versatile to help our riders develop their skills. The lessons are either intensive groups of 3-5 riders or normal size groups of 6-8 riders. Our horses are all very skilled and good-natured.
We also arrange beginner lessons, private lessons or even lessons for couples. Please ask for more details.
We also go out hacking, weather allowing, mainly during May- September, and January-March.
There are 20 horses in our stables. The majority of our horses live in an outdoor active shed. During summertime, the horses get to graze in our fields where they have several hectares of space to run wild, play and just live as every horse should. The wellbeing of our horses is our priority, and we pride ourselves on having such a happy and healthy bunch!
Prices
If your idea of heaven is just being around horses, or you want to learn more about their general day to daycare this could be the ideal visit for you! It's a chance to have a real hands-on experience, spending a couple of hours enjoying the company of original Finnish horses in the Finnish countryside, close to Lahti.
- Price: 190,00 € / person
- Price includes: Guided tour around the farm, feeding and grooming the horses, ½ -hour riding lesson at the indoor arena with a professional riding instructor, coffee with savory pastry and salad.

- Duration: 4 hours from 10 am to 2 pm

- Okeroinen Stables is one of the 19 riding schools in Finland with a quality certificate granted by the Equestrian Federation of Finland.
